    About Carbon Footprint Assessment

Carbon Footprint Assessment is the process of measuring and independently verifying emissions across an organization’s activities, products, and services. It strengthens the credibility of carbon claims and enables organizations to identify opportunities to reduce and offset emissions effectively.

    Services We Offer

ISO 14064-1 & GHG Protocol Corporate Verification

ISO 14064-1 & GHG Protocol Corporate Verification

Independent verification of organisational greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3, enabling credible carbon reporting, stronger ESG disclosures, and a solid foundation for decarbonisation and net-zero strategies.
ISO 14064-2 GHG Project Validation & Verification

ISO 14064-2 GHG Project Validation & Verification

Validation and verification of emission reduction and removal projects to demonstrate real climate impact, strengthen project credibility, and support access to voluntary and compliance carbon markets.
ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification

ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Verification

Product-level carbon footprint verification that delivers reliable, comparable emissions data across the product life cycle, supporting transparent climate claims and targeted emissions reduction strategies.
    ISO 14068-1 Carbon Neutrality Verification

    ISO 14068-1 Carbon Neutrality Verification

Independent verification under ISO 14068-1:2023 enables organisations to demonstrate credible, science-aligned carbon neutrality with confidence. By ensuring carbon-neutral claims are accurate, transparent, and globally recognised, this service strengthens stakeholder trust, supports alignment with international climate targets, and reinforces long-term climate governance and reputation.

About Carbon Credit Validation & Verification Assessment

A carbon credit is a tradable certificate representing the reduction or removal of one (1) metric tonne of CO₂ or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases (GHGs). Organizations and individuals use carbon credits as part of their climate strategy to compensate for unavoidable emissions, a process widely known as carbon offsetting.

By purchasing carbon credits, buyers directly support certified climate‑positive projects that either avoid emissions or remove carbon from the atmosphere, including renewable energy developments, forest conservation, reforestation, and other nature‑based solutions.

    • Reduce Environmental Impact – Offset unavoidable emissions from fossil fuel use, industrial activities, logistics, and day‑to‑day operations, strengthening your organization’s contribution to global climate mitigation.
    • Support Renewable Energy & Conservation Projects – Each carbon credit purchase channels funding towards impactful initiatives such as solar installations, wind farms, forest restoration, peatland protection, and other verified climate‑action projects.
    • Achieve Regulatory & Voluntary Compliance – Meet government‑mandated carbon reduction requirements or fulfill voluntary climate commitments as part of your ESG strategy, net‑zero roadmap, or corporate sustainability goals.

Control Union Certifications provides assurance and confidence to all interested parties that a product, process, service, or organisation fulfils the requirements of the relevant assurance services. To ensure consistency and integrity, our assurance process is governed by established procedures — outlining the full journey from application to verification and issuance of the assurance statement, including the qualifications of personnel conducting these activities.

    Request a Verification

Click on the “Apply Now” link on the relevant assurance services page to begin your application. If the link is unavailable, please contact us and we will provide the appropriate application form. All assurance services include a formal application process.

    Receive the Offer Letter

Upon receiving your application, we will issue an offer letter outlining the scope, fees, and applicable assurance services.

Accept and Receive Your Verification Plan

Once the offer is accepted and signed, we will coordinate suitable dates for the verification. An assigned verifier will provide a verification agenda and plan to support your preparation. At the close of the verification, any identified non-conformities will be discussed, along with agreed timelines for corrective actions.

    Verification Review

Your verification results will undergo an independent technical review by an authorised decision-maker who determines whether assurance can be granted. Where corrective actions are required, these must be submitted before the review can proceed.

    Receive Your Assurance Statement

Once approved, you will be issued an assurance statement or formal verification outcome (such as an attestation or reported score). If results are not satisfactory, corrective actions must be addressed within the agreed timeframe, or the assurance process may be paused. For certain verification services, a waiting period may apply before reapplication.
